To me, this is a somewhat specific degree, but very similar to the generalist management degree, which is the MBA (masters of business administration). A specialized degree, such as a masters of computer science with a focus in networking security, is basically education and training to do just that, manage the people that build network security devices or programs. An MBA is for a leader/manager of a business, but you don't need specific skills to one area of business, instead you have a class on finance, accounting, marketing, IS, IT, etc etc etc. In the end, you will know enough about each area to lead those areas, but you will not be specialized so that you end up being the greatest or most knowledgeable in that specific area. The MSc focuses more of the courses in to the operations side, thus any job that requires operations management, such as plan manager or superintendent, for production facilities, programing directors or project managers, and other leaders/managers who direct the operations side of a business, will work great in the position. If you know operations is where you want to be, then get this degree, if you think in 5 or 10 years you might want to move to another department within your company or even change careers altogether, I would recommend you get an MBA, because that degree basically works in any and all businesses as long as they have managers and workers, because MBA's generally start close to mid-management level and usually end up somewhere within the executive level of the company by the end of their career. Good luck in your search, either way, an MSc degree in any discipline is a great accomplishment and something to be very proud of!
